Ephraim Suhir is Foreign Full Member (Academician) of the National Academy of Engineering, Ukraine (he was born in that country); Life Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Society of Optical Engineers (SPIE) and the International Microelectronics and Packaging Society (IMAPS); Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS), the Institute of Physics (IoP), UK, and the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE); and Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Ephraim has authored about 400+ publications (patents, technical papers, book chapters, books), presented numerous keynote and invited talks worldwide, and received many professional awards, including the 1996 Bell Labs Distinguished Member of Technical Staff Award and the 2004 ASME Worcester Read Warner Medal for outstanding contributions to the permanent literature of engineering. He is the third Russian American, after Stephen Timoshenko and Igor Sikorsky, who received this prestigious award.

Mohammad Fassihi is both a Novelist and Physicist.Is author of the roman “I wish to make you happy” and the book “Confined Quantum Field Theory”.Was burn in 1946 in Iran. 1965 Attend Engineering faculty of Tehran’s university.1971 Moved to Sweden for more adventure and studying physics and mathematics.Activity in elementary particle physics;1981 Joint the elementary particle physics group at Chalmers University of technology and did some work in BRST quantization.Activity in experimental physics;1985-1994 worked with the surface physics group at the same university.My work was mainly on the kinetics reactions on the Platinum surface. During this time contributed to some publication like;(A theoretical and experimental study of catalytic ignition in the hydrogen-oxygen reaction on platinum. M FASSIHI, VP ZHDANOV, M RINNEMO, KE KECK, B KASEMO , Hydrogen self-ignition ,M. Fassihi and B. Kasemo, Chem. Phys. Lett. ...).But the main result about Kinetic Oscillation was never published. The reason was that I moved to the mathematical department.

To understand Optics-photonics, the key is to understand in the best way the dynamics of electrons and photons. And Confined Quantum Field Theory is the best theoretical instrument. Confined Quantum Field Theory is a new approach in physics. It solves both fundamental and applied problems in physics Concerning Optics-Photonics It gives a simple and transparent picture of the interaction between electrons and photons. Thanks to its definition of the quantum state as a connected bounded manifold, it provides explicit size and position for electrons and photons. The question of the size of electron and photon become more and more important in all aspects of solid state physics. No one can ignore the question of size in nanotechnology. One can also experience that films lose or changes the property of superconductivity due to the size of its thickness.

Mohamed Atef received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering, electronics and communications from Assiut University, Egypt, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. From 2006 to 2007, he was a researcher at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Department of Microelectronics, working on the improvement of quantum dot optical properties. He received his PhD in 2010 from Vienna University of Technology, Institute of Electrodynamics, Microwave and Circuit Engineering, and then worked as a post-doctoral researcher until the end of 2012. Mohamed Atef is currently an Associate Professor at Assiut University, Egypt. He has been visiting the School of Microelectronics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2015. His research interests are in the areas of optoelectronic integrated circuits, optical transceivers, and biomedical circuits and system. He is an author of two Springer books, "Optical Communication over Plastic Optical Fibers: Integrated Optical Receiver Technology" and "Optoelectronic Circuits in Nanometer CMOS Technology". Furthermore, he is an author and co-author of more than 70 scientific publications. Since 2012, he has been a senior member of IEEE.
